Ronald L. Nelson is chairman and chief executive officer of Avis Budget Group, Inc., a leading global provider of vehicle rental services through its Avis and Budget brands, with 10,000 rental locations in approximately 175 countries around the world.
David B. Wyshner is senior executive vice president and chief financial officer of Avis Budget Group. In this role, he is responsible for all company financial activities, including financial reporting, tax and treasury functions, planning and analysis, investor relations, capital structure strategy, financing transactions, mergers and acquisitions, commercial and investment banking relationships, and insurance and risk management. In addition, Mr. Wyshner oversees the Company's information technology and corporate communications functions.
Tom Gartland is president, North America for Avis Budget Group, which includes the Company's U.S. and Canadian operations of the Avis, Budget and Zipcar brands. In this role, Mr. Gartland oversees all aspects of the Company’s business within this region, with full P&L responsibility for the Company’s North America and Truck Rental financial reporting segments.
Mr. Gartland’s region is comprised of more than 5,000 Avis, Budget and Budget Truck Rental locations, of which approximately half are corporate-owned and operated, with the rest consisting of either Avis or Budget franchisees or Budget Truck dealerships. Within North America, Avis and Budget combine to be a leader in airport rentals, while Zipcar is the global leader within the fast-growing car-sharing industry.
As President of North America, Mr. Gartland is responsible for the daily management of approximately 19,000 employees and more than 350,000 vehicles which account for more than 85,000 annual rental days and more than $5 billion in annual revenue in 2012.
Mr. Gartland previously held the position of executive vice president of sales, marketing and customer care where he oversaw the development of all revenue-generating activities and senior level customer interactions for the company, including responsibility for the marketing, domestic and international sales (commercial, insurance replacement, truck, global travel and partnerships), as well as small business and contact center functions of Avis Budget Group. Mr. Gartland has more than 28 years of sales and leadership experience. Prior to Avis Budget Group, he worked for 14 years with JohnsonDiversey, Inc. based in Racine, Wisconsin. As president of Johnson's North American region, he led businesses that generated $1 billion in annual revenues. Mr. Gartland also served as vice president and director of national accounts with Ecolab, Inc., where he worked for 14 years. He received a bachelor's degree in business administration/marketing from the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, Minnesota.
Larry De Shon is president, Europe, Middle East & Africa (EMEA) for Avis Budget Group, Inc., overseeing the Avis and Budget car rental businesses within the region. Mr. De Shon was previously executive vice president of Avis Budget domestic (U.S.) operations.
Patric Siniscalchi is president of Latin America/Asia Pacific, overseeing the Avis and Budget car rental businesses in the Caribbean, Central and South America, Asia, Australia and New Zealand. Scott Deaver is executive vice president of strategy for Avis Budget Group. Mr. Deaver drives the strategic planning process for Avis Budget Group in addition to overseeing initiatives that create operational efficiency and revenue growth.
Prior to assuming leadership of the company's strategy, Mr. Deaver served as executive vice president of Marketing, leading the development of both the Avis and Budget marketing strategies designed to build brand image, customer loyalty and market share.
Mr. Deaver has over 20 years of marketing experience, the past ten spent on various assignments of increasing responsibility within Avis Budget and its predecessor companies Cendant Corporation and HFS Incorporated. Most recently, he was Chief Marketing Officer for move.com, an online real estate and home services portal launched by Cendant. Before leading move.com marketing, Mr. Deaver was senior vice president of corporate marketing at Cendant, working with the company's entire portfolio of travel, real estate and direct marketing brands. He has also worked as a marketing executive for several major hotels brands, including Ramada, Howard Johnson and Holiday Inns.
Mr. Deaver earned a Ph.D and Master of Arts in English from the University of Texas at Austin and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of the South.
Mark Servodidio is executive vice president of franchise and corporate services for Europe, Middle East & Africa (EMEA). In this role, he is responsible for leading the licensee relations efforts for EMEA as well as Avis Budget Group’s Shared Services Center in Budapest and the region’s Performance Excellence (PEx) initiative. He also oversees the Information Technology and Legal functions in the region.
Mr. Servodidio joined Avis Budget Group in 2002. During this time, his responsibilities have grown from serving as head of human resources for Avis Car Rental to the global role of chief administrative officer for Avis Budget Group. He recruited many of the Company’s current senior leadership team executives and was responsible for developing the Company’s talent and performance management processes, employee reward and recognition programs as well as training and development functions.
Prior to joining Avis Budget Group, Mr. Servodidio was with Kraft Foods where he led the human resources efforts for its Nabisco Division's sales and supply chain unit. Other key roles there included rebuilding Nabisco's direct store delivery system, overseeing organizational effectiveness efforts and implementing the initial integration strategy for Nabisco and Kraft as a result of the acquisition by Phillip Morris. Mr. Servodidio also served as vice president of human resources for Stella D'Oro & Christie Brown. Prior to working for Kraft Foods, he was at PepsiCo where he had several leadership roles at Pepsi-Cola and Frito-Lay.
Mr. Servodidio received both his Bachelor of Arts and Master of Sciences Degrees from Villanova University.
Michael K. Tucker is executive vice president and general counsel for Avis Budget Group. In his position Mr. Tucker is responsible for the legal affairs of the Company, including management of its franchising and other contracts, litigation, government relations and information security.
Prior to joining Avis Budget Group, Mr. Tucker was in private practice serving as managing partner at the law firm of Tucker Associates, and of counsel to the law firm of Lowe & Savage, where he represented private and public entities, handling corporate, securities, finance and commercial transaction matters. His long tenure as a corporate attorney includes service as division general counsel with Tyco International, Ltd. Mr. Tucker also served in senior legal positions with General Electric Company, including division senior counsel of GE Transportation and senior vice president and general counsel of GE Capital International Services. Before working as a corporate attorney, Mr. Tucker was a member of the law firms of Ballard Spahr Andrews & Ingersoll, Bingham Dana LLP, and Csaplar & Bok.
Mr. Tucker received his Juris Doctorate degree from Boston University and a bachelor's degree from Cornell University.
Gerard Insall is senior vice president and chief information officer for Avis Budget Group. In this role, he is responsible for the management of all facets of Information Technology (IT) for Avis Budget Group and its brand operations. These include: enterprise applications, IT operations, networks, architecture and IT strategy. Prior to this position, he served as the Vice President of Information Technology Operations for Avis Budget Group where he led the segregation of IT systems when Cendant Corporation separated its division into stand alone companies and created Avis Budget Group, Inc. Ned Linnen is senior vice president and chief human resources officer for Avis Budget Group. He oversees Avis Budget Group's global human resources activities including organizational development, labor and employee relations, talent acquisition and diversity strategies, total rewards strategies, equal employment compliance, health and safety, and employee engagement initiatives.
Mr. Linnen was previously senior vice president of human resources for North America. He joined Avis Budget Group in 2001, and served in several positions in the Company’s human resources function, including as vice president of labor relations, vice president international human resources, vice president domestic human resources, and field human resources director.
Prior to joining Avis Budget Group, Mr. Linnen served in various positions within human resources at Kraft Foods Inc. and Nabisco, Inc.
Mr. Linnen has a Master of Science degree in organizational development from Misericordia University and a Bachelor of Science degree in human resources and psychology from King’s College.
